Harry Potter books!
It seemed such an idyllic start to a summer, but it all ended in tears.
So... I like to think Bathilda Bagshot would have prepared a small garden party for Gellert Grindelwald to welcome him and introduce him to the neighbourhood wizard kids.
Speaking of whom, I imagine that would have been a great occasion for poor Ariana, getting some fresh air in a friendly and calm atmosphere. She loves the fairy lights!
Her big bro Aberforth is babysitting her, of course. I used to think his lifelong obsession with goats was just oddness, but now I think it's a sign of innocence and warmth - they're the only family members not to have brought him pain.
And in the background we have Albus and Gellert discussing books, Bathilda standing next to the food (and sharing it generously with the goats).
The four Death's Head Moths fly above because out of the five people in the scene, only one avoided an unnatural death. It's sad when you think about it...
Anyway, this is what I've been working on in the midst of a flood of exams.
I dislike the drawing itself (I guess 'kiddie's picture book' style is my default one, particularly as I use no refs for anatomy and do these quick drawings, urgh). I do like the colouring, though, it was an experiment I think I shall repeat!
Comments of any kind, I adore them all and they really do keep my inspiration fueled. So, please, share your thoughts!
